Wheels won't fit!! Help!!!!!

I bought a set of VMR V710s 19x8.5 ET35, 19x9.5 ET33 a month ago brand new from a member (I believe originally purchased from EAS). Went to get them mounted today and they wouldn't fit. They didn't even try to mount the tires because the front wheel alone wouldn't fit, it was sitting flush against the strut before lugs were even put on. So my question is what do I do now? The guys at the tire shop didn't think spacers would be a good idea, and if I did get them that I would not pass state inspection. Is there another size that would be guaranteed to fit?

That's weird, are you sure about the offsets?

Your offsets must be wrong. . .because I have 20x8.5 with et35 and they fit fine on my 2007 328.

look on the back of the hub for the size and offset stampings.. et35 should fit just fine, sounds like you have a much higher offset, like 45+, and/or the rim is wider than 8.5"

did you try test fitting the wheels yourself? And are you sure they didn't try to put the rear wheel on the front of the car?

Yea just double checked to be sure on both the box and the inside of the wheel. Fronts are 35 and rears 33. Haven't tried test fitting myself yet. Any other thoughts?

That's impossible, something's not right. 8.5" wheel with ET35 offset should fit every E9x application (except maybe M3) without any issue whatsoever. I would check to make sure they aren't trying to mount the rears on the front...sounds like these guys are idiots, you would never fail inspection due to spacers

Run away from that shop. They are obviously morons as those offsets/widths are fairly conservative for the e9x non-m3. I have the same widths/offsets on mine and even with a dropped suspension and coilovers they fit fine (minus the little bit of front fender liner rubbing).

Try a different shop. That's the correct offset for your car.

why don't you just test fit the wheels at your house? it would only take like 5 minutes.

Ok so I went to a different tire shop and they said that they'll fit no problem (and I also test fitted at home without issue). Well after waiting for an hour they come out and tell me that it is taking alot longer to do than they thought, like 45 minutes just to do one wheel and then they have to set the TPMS after they do the other which will also take some time. The lady then started getting an attitude for some reason and started going on about how big of a job this is and how it's gonna cost somewhere close to $800. Ridiculous. This has turned into a major pain in the ass, probably should have just bought it all put together already from tirerack and slapped them on here.

WTF they want 800.00 for mounting your tires on your wheels? Tell them to F off I paid 25.00 ea! And if they charge you to put them on your car tell them to F off again as it takes ten minutes!

$800 FOR A MOUNTING AND BALANCING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post the name and the number of the place, these people need to get flamed. It shouldnt cost your more then $20 ($30 tops) to mount those wheels. TMPS sensors are easy to install. Seems like these people are total morons or are trying to rip you off because you're driving a BMW.

VMR V710s, 19x9.5 in the rear. I had a friend pick me up, I'm going back in like an hour. I checked WalMarts website and they do tpms relearn for $20 a car. If they seriously think I'm paying $800 I'm calling the BBB, chamber of commerce, whoever.
