Jeans recommendation

I want to get some new jeans, but I've been having a hard time finding the ones that look and feel right. I want soft jeans b/c I can't stand the feeling of stiff and/or rough texture of typical jeans. I don't want that low rise, skinny fit, flared bootcut style or sean john baggy style either. I spent a couple hours at Macys the other day trying to find one and after trying on a crap load of different brands and styles I gave up. They ranged from the $30 nautica jeans to those designer jeans that cost over $100. Any recommendations? I know about paper denim and they're nice and soft, but the ones I've tried are too tight and skinny. Price isn't a factor in this case. Thanks

anyways, i guess you just have to go to a department store and test on the different brands and fabrics to your style and that's prolly the only way, since you been there already i dont' konw what else you can do

yeah but i hate going and shopping and trying out different things. i usually know what i want to get and i'm in and out of there asap.

Antik are cheaper compared to the true's/rocks etc and many of the jeans have soft fabric. i have like 2 pairs and both are soft, not too fit and not too baggy.
otherwise you can try Diesel, my other 'semi formal' jeans.
True's i don't think will have what you looking for
