I Installed them. They sounds amayzing and looks great. Not really know about huge HP gain or power gain. But I can tell the rpm goes higher and feel more torques. I will post some pics and maybe vids if I can.

Congrats!

That mod is guaranteed to provide up to 15 additional mental HP across the board. Combine that with an M badge and it ups to 25 mental HP.

as much as you cant understand why people would spend so much money making mods to their own cars, i cant understand people who go out of their way to bring someone else down. he was excited and he posted his excitement. and we as a forum can benefit from him when he posts the quality and performace gains of the product, maybe there be any. to bring him down does nothing for our community and the bottom line is theres no point in posting to bring someone down. no offsense to you steve but if your going to be "critical" then be critical with a purpose. oh and BTW yes you are "hating" and yes you do know what that means.
I am with Biggie... let's keep the forum on the constructive discussion and debate side of the line. Who are we to make judgements on other members, how they spend their money, what they do to their cars? If you wouldn't personally do something another member has done, let them know that, but don't be personal - this is your chance to live vicariously, enjoy it!

(Well except for that horrid Bhatmalik (?)exhaust... but we won't go there that was just a failed attempt at covert marketing an underdeveloped product that went wrong )

One of the reasons I was attracted to this forum was the politeness of the posters and the quality of the discussion. In the beginning I asked some pretty dumb questions, and the members gratefully helped me out. If they had of come like jackals to a wounded goat I would have probably not returned.

I also have to say that when purchasing my BMW (I switched from Audi) I read another forum and the petty, bitchy, nastiness nearly made me reconsider my purchase as I didn't want to be associated with these attitudes. Thankfully I stumbled upon this one.

So I hate to lecture, but let's keep it polite, and let that not stop us from legitimate debate, but let's not loose sight of compassion and empathy. Let's keep this the best forum...

Zinco, I am happy it turned out well for you, and that you are pleased with the new sound of your car.

Intakes are fun, they sound great, and typically you can feel a little improvement in breathing at the top of the tach. Don't feel bad, that's a beautiful piece.

Edit: [ Haha, timewarp, that's what happens when I check recent posts...]

Wow!!

I didn't even remember that I posted this!! haha

Its been about year now with that intake and their great!!

I have A/T and that bring the rpm higher than stock intake.

Also sounds awesome!!!

As long as I have Original K&N filter, there is no huge difference between

real GrouppeM and replica!

All other parts has exactly same looking and dimension!!

anyone here can help me to post some video clip???

so the Gruppe M rep is good
since u also have the original K&N filter, is it more of an advantage?
like is having the k&n filter along wit the gruppem intake going to give u more of a difference than just having the intake alone?

I agree. I've installed K&N and got LESS hp... after looking at the fK&N ilter (factory replacement filter) I realized it's because the K&N was designed to last a long time and get CLEANED; maint. spray to clean it meant more sales for K&N on the back end vs. just throwing a really good efficient filter in the trash and replacing it with another new one for $20.00...

The problem is that a lot of members say what they think instead of researching or simply using the search function on this website to see what others have already figured out.

The GruppeM provides you with a CF heat shield, a mini ram-air inlet, a K&N air filter plus adapter. It utilizes the stock intake pipe, which houses the stock MAF sensor.

Hey I got this same Gruppe-M Replica in ebay for $440 shipped ($350 + $90 shipping)

I know this might still be expensive for others, but it was listed for $500 (+ $90 shipping). I shot him an offer for $350, but I wasn't really expecting him to accept it But the next day, lo and behold, I got an e-mail that I won the item

This was totally unexpected and caught me by surprise. I mean I already bought the flat K&N OEM filter replacement for the mean time (which hasn't even arrived yet). Now I have to sell it once I get it

I'm so psyched because for the longest time, I've been looking for a Gruppe-M Replica that I could afford, but $590 was still too expensive for me. I even asked Felix if he could help us to create one, but I guess I really couldn't wait anymore I even created, in anticipation, a lower bumper grille air ram intake (ala Dinan/Ksfrogman) before knowing when I could get a replica (I just have the hole covered )

I think the seller still have 2-3 listed... Now that the word is out, shoot him an offer for $299 No wait... wait until I get the intake and see if it's any good
