I recommend BMS or VRSF based on quality for the money.

Stage 1+ requires FMIC. Stage 2 is for dp.

I know I was basically asking if he's looking for power he will get more running stage 1+

Not sure what the numbers are. I'm currently running stage 1+ on my n54 e82 and will he getting dps eventually. I chose intercooler first since stock one is garbage

N54tuning is now selling the BMS DP - its made in the same factory and looks identical. Its called the N54tuning DP.
http://www.n54tuning.com/index.php?_...&productId=164

To the OPs question, any DP will do for Cobb. Cobb sells various performance parts, including a DP, but they are manufactured by someone else for Cobb.

I'm not sure but if you were to get a pro tune with e85 you'd be looking at about 370-380 whp.

Actually a downpipe will add more power and FMIC will add more consistency.

I emailed cobb and asked them about running stage 1+ and stage 2. They told me stage 1+ u will get more power as it produces more psi than just regular stage 2. That's why i chose intercooler first Of course stage 2+ will get u the most

You are referring to the off the shelf maps which are very limited. With a pro tune, the downpipe will add more power. Try searching the forums if you don't believe me.

Just realized you have an N54. Your car would make ridiculous amounts of power with a pro tune and e85

I'm debating whether to go e85 or not and get a protune for it or just get a regular protune and run 93.

Have you taken any logs with the off the shelf maps? Your car will definitely run a lot healthier with a pro tune. And as far as e85 vs just 93, the e85 will be a night and day difference.

Haven't done any logs yet. I know e85 will give me good power. I have to see what mix I wanna safely run. Have to get in touch with ptf and talk to them about what I'm looking for

If I have COBB av3, how do I get a protune? I have to record logs then send them to COBB and they adjust right? Is there an eXtra cost with this?

You can check for pro-tuners near you using Cobb's website: http://www.cobbtuning.com/Dealer-Ret...or-s/70471.htm

Yes, pro-tunes cost extra money. You can either do a pro-tune by physically going to a authorized tuner or do an e-tune which all communication to your tuner is online (like you stated above about sending logs and they fine tune your map). I'm not sure if Cobb performs e-tunes. For e-tunes I recommend ProTuning Freaks http://www.protuningfreaks.com/featu...otune-bmw.html

Regardless, you'll definitely want to take logs and post them on here or send them to Cobb. Because otherwise you don't even know if the current map you're running is healthy for your car.

1. Pro tuning freaks is the most popular pro tuner on this forum. People usually opt for the e-tune since it is relatively inexpensive and can be done from anywhere.

2. You can post your logs on this forum using data zap, send the logs to cobb, or send your logs to pro tuning freaks. Either way, you will get free feedback. Cobb and PTF do not charge for log reviews.
