Why do you need the proof of ownership?
If you're buying a new fob, it will need to be coded locally anyway. |

I just ordered a key from the dealer last month. Came in from Malaysia. Costed $650.
Took two weeks, comes pre-coded. You just need a rego slip to show proof of ownership. Then i found my spare key -_- |

What he said ^
I believe the only coding I will need to do at a dealer is for the comfort access, but I can get away with using it normally just as a spare. |

I think I was assuming if you didn't buy from a BMW dealer, that it wouldn't come coded.
I was looking into this a while ago, and saw them on eBay. |
