FM + rear defroster + tint = static?
i never noticed this, since i have only had my car in spring/summer, but this morning i turned on my rear defroster and mostly all of my FM presets had heavy static. when i turned my rear defroster off the static goes away. i am guessing its because my rear window is tinted, but this is not my first tinted car and never had this problem before?
anyone else experience this problem? (i did a couple searches with no luck)

No, I have tinted windows too and I use my rear defroster all the time when listening to FM with no static at all.

what kind of tint did you use? i have heard that metallic based tints can cause issues with reception. i had huper optik installed on mine, which is ceramic based, and havent had any issues. i think 3m makes some ceramic also?

i am not sure, but i am guessing metallic tints are cheaper then ceramic and my tint job costed only 200 total.
