also, installing a turbo kit is reletively easy in my opinon. It is a bolt on. Why dont you just install it yourself and save the cost? Plus whats the fun in paying someone else to work on your car for you? Just get a couple of buddies together, a case of beer, and have at it. Then when your done go do some pulls! Its not like your are replacing crank/rod bearings.
I agree with you on the tuning bit. On the install, replacing stock turbos on this car without changing any other parts is a 10-11 hour job for a pro with all the right tools and environment. Probably 15+ for an enthusiast messing around with their buddies the first time. Very tight spacing, lots of pre-work, pieces to remove and put back, fluids to deal with, etc.

With this specific kit were talking about a new manifold, motor mount relocation, oil scavenge pump, charge pipe, downpipe, etc. to add to the list.

I think I'll just get RB's and run the Cobb map when it's released...don't get me wrong I think this is AWESOME, and I applaud all the work that is going in to making this work. I just don't have the money to play around with stuff like this at this point in my life.

I'm not sure on this particular setup but in some turbo upgrades you need to raise or drop the motor out. So its not as easy in your buddies garage half drunk on jack stands if that is necessary.

I'd be willing to bet if you install the stage 1 hardware and just plug your JB4 in it's not going to run. I'm not saying they need to re-invent the wheel. Just make it roll.
THIS X 100000 ^^^^^^

I have been waiting a long time for someone to say this. Only took 38 pages. I did not have the heart to say it. You are absolutely correct. The DME treats this engine as two separate banks like a V6. BANK 1 and BANK 2. So far all the single turbo manifold designs have been designed without this in mind except for one

The engine will not properly run at high boost when both the o2 sensors are in one down pipe. This will require a complete redesign of the manifold in order to separate the two o2 sensors. It surprises me that a company like HPF would sink all this R & D money into the single turbo setup and have completely ignored this very simple fact. I guess this is why we have seen no updates. Maybe they figured out a way around it? It will be interesting to see how this saga plays out.

Maybe that's why they have been working so hard on their new intake manifold with fuel injector rail.

I believe he was talking about the exhaust manifold...I dont see a problem with dual versus single exhaust manifolds. I would like to know how they merge dual wastegate control into a single setup...

The fact that Chris posted expected pricing already is indication that they are confident and extremely close IMO, can't wait for dyno vids.
