i cant watch the video of this(at work), but the sound of the delete is hot. Not a huge fan of the sound once i put my AR catless DP's though, but even it is starting to grow on me.

Any clips perhaps when your not under a bridge echoing.. like the camera sitting still and you taking off or a friend holding it while you accelerate a way?
That would be awesome as I've been debating this as well |

Great looking car and tips!
I also did the delete but on the n54 e90, which is supposed to be quieter than the e92, and might i suggest that anyone considering this to at least try to get a ride in a car with this mod. I watched and listened to endless videos and read countless reviews for a couple of months before taking the plunge, believing drone would not have been that bad. Like several other members have stated, drone between ~2300 to ~2700 RPMs, esp on the highway, is pretty unbearable. On a recent 400 mile trip I found myself slowing down/accelerating to sustain a speed outside of that range or dropping to 5th to raise the revs (to the detriment of fuel economy) out of that band. Several days ago I got a 335i loaner and for the first time is appreciating the subtle sportiness of the stock system. Having used complete aftermarket systems in the past, IMHO nothing beats a well-designed set of components meant to work together. However I rarely drive on the hwy living in the NYC area and for city driving, the sound surely turns heads, and is especially burbly when the engine is cold, to the point of setting off alarms under acceleration. Just adding another personal opinion to the many that already exist. Cheers. |

the sound is similar, theres a little more growl to it, and around 2500 im getting a pulsating exhaust note which is pretty sweet.. Its like a mild Subaru sound(which has the sexiest exhaust sound imo)
but at 5500 rpms the tone changes to a metallic rasp, which at first kinda made me cringe a bit, but the sound has cleaned up a bit. |
