My AE outer rings are weak :/
Why is the outer rings of my AE's weaker than the inner rings?... It is an M-tech brand, and it is supposed to be good...
Is it the connections?... any ideas of what could be wrong?... |

I see this all the time. It's probably because the outer ring is bigger and would need more light to glow as bright as the smaller ring. I think there are different kits that would allow them to glow equally.

It's the design of the lights amigo. One bulb (or aftermarket LED) powers the inner ring directly. Fiber optic tubes capture some of this light to direct it towards the outer ring. Due to this style of design the outer ring will look weaker at almost any angle other than dead on at +15 feet.

It's somewhat normal but other Angel eyes do a better job of getting the outer ring to match then others.
The problem is the design of the angel eyes from the factory though, in your case, the angel eyes don't have enough output to pass the beam to the outer as it has to travel farther then the inner rings. |
