Steering wheel trim removal

I know that their is a DIY on it but I can't fully get the trim out from underneath the airbag area.

I am on my phone and can't upload a pic.

Thanks for the help

You probably haven't got all the screws. I'm sure it's hard with the wheel on. I'd disconnect the battery and pull the wheel. Should be able to do that in about a half hour.

Ok how much did it flex around the airbag.

Take the frickin airbag out! It's simple and wasting time trying to pry the trim off otherwise makes no sense.

Is there a trick to unplugging the airbag? I recently had to replace my heated steering wheel module and I just ASSumed since nobody mentioned anything special that the connectors just pulled straight out of the back of the airbag, but those little buggers would not even pry out. Since I had enough slack to do what I needed to do I didn't bother messing with it, but I would like to vinyl my trim as well.
