Plastidip the bumper for a long drive.

Did somebody did so?
I'm planing a road trip next month with my family and will be driving my car to San Diego from the Bay Area. I was just wondering if it is enough to protect the car from road chips.

Why not donate your priceless automobile to a museum? It will be protected from rock chips there. Jesus Christ kid, it is a freaking 3-series. Just relax, enjoy the drive and some family time and forget the stupid car.

With all due respect sir, this 3 series to me is like one of those priceless car that Ralph Lauren has to him. I've had a couple of BMW's before so I probably won't consider my self as a kid any more, though I might be to you. To each his own buddy. Have a nice day!

Just use the tape, alot easier to apply and remove.

Plasti dip will be a mess, and time consuming.

Tape would definitely be in my mind. I was just wondering if plastidip is a better idea. And by the way, I already have a clear bra. I just want to have an extra protection. Probably CombatNinja will get even more mad at me. LOL!

If you already have a clear bra, you're fine.

What is the plasti dip rules? Apply it when there's no wax on the car or it doesn't matter if a fresh wax coat is on? Eh

We always greatly appreciate your draconian advice here.

By the way OP, I'm wondering the same thing as I plan to go to Bimmerfest this year. Painters tape looks dumb, but I just might.

This.

That's the point of a clear bra. Foolish to add anything else.

His advice is always so helpful and cheerful.

Do what you want. I probably would just cause it would be funny as hell

Or not, that's a lot of plastidip. Your call.
