Bauer suspends publication of Max Power magazine

Bauer Media has suspended publication of motoring enthusiast title Max Power with its last regular issue – the February edition - hitting newsstands in January.

According to Bauer, the last issue of the magazine will be a collectable ‘super-sized’ edition looking back on its history.

The company intends to keep the Max Power brand alive in the future with a series of “one shots” and special issues.

According the most recent figures from the Audit Bureau of Circulations, Max Power sold an average of 20,589 copies each month last year. At its peak in 2003 the magazine averaged a monthly sale of 239,668.

Six staff are understood to be affected by the changes.
