Think of 6NR as a further enhancement of 6NF (which can be used with non Apple phones too). 6NR is to do with iPhone Apps.

6NF - Additional connection point for the playback of music from a mobile phone with a built in music player. For further information on compatible handsets and the availability of the cradle which will need to be purchased separately, please consult www.bmw.co.uk/bluetooth.


Slightly off topic but Option 614 is about to be released, this is "Internet". It costs £95 including VAT for three years (requires pro navigation) and BMW Assist. Available to order from 1st April.

It is only £70 to spec and around a grand to retrofit, and I think we will see some really useful features coming through.

It has stopped me buying a used car as I am now waiting for cars with 6NR to come onto the market, and I am sure many people will be the same.
