Since warranty is running down on the car about month left I'm checking things over.

Noticed the rear diff has a nice stain all round the bottom of it. Is this normal on a 3 year old car or shoudl I get it booked in.

Its not dripping oil and never had any marks on drive way even after weeks car not moving but as they say

Any thoughts thanks

Told by BMW Master Tech, "it is very common", "No gasket - Diff out to re-silicone seal".

As you you say it has a stain but never drips.

I had a diff fitted, no leaks at all.
Best get it fixed.
It'll but people off later in the day.
