All of their new exhausts have that, its a "cool tip". Its so the tips dont get hot and melt the bumper

I don't think it looks that bad, but definitely not sexy....pipe-in-pipe is definitely not great. Thanks for attaching the pic though, it really gives me a good idea. Next really is how it sounds. If it sounds great enough to overcome the not-so-great looks, then I might get it...

to be honest, now that I look at it more and more, and for the price, this dinan free flow exhaust looks terrible.

Dealership quoted parts+installation at approximately $2300 and if I'm dishing out this amt of money, it better look good, and it sure doesn't. It gives a cheap "add-on" feel instead.

Pretty sure not going to go for dinan unless they come up with a new exhaust system. I rather stick to stock.

I'm not too thrilled about the pipe on pipe thing, but on Robbie's car it looks damn good! It think the rear skirt has something to do with it. In any event, the mufflers look huge(which I like) and the tips fill in rather nicely. The only thing missing is the sound clip! Thanks Robbie.

yeah, nonetheless, thanks to Robbie!

I guess if Dinan does the pipe-in-pipe thing, hide the inner pipe and make the outer pipe thicker and more sexier looking. It's just me.

the last 2 pics look like the ends of the exhaust tips are too short to make it past the diffuser - that's gonna smoke things up

For $ 1900 those tips had better be rolled, resonated and lazer etched.

Have any of you 335 guys had a over-heating problem? When I dropped my car off at Dinan they said they are about to drop the new oil cooler that solves this problem. And yes the software download for all the new 3series will be out soon. The 325 and 330 should be out in 3-5weeks, and the 335 download will be about 5-8 weeks. The download for the 335 will up the boost along with other things, Dinan told me the hp will be 30-45 improvement for the download.

I personaly think that those tips are very bad taste!
I hate how you can see an inner tip inside the outer tip.

What the hell were they thinking? It looks like a very poor design.

haha real smart on dinan's part. Go for the 325/328 and 330 tune for 6-7 hp for $600. Leave the 335i software out of the picture for a while. Cause the tuning market for the e90/92 is really heating up outside of the 335i. No offense to those on this forum who don't own 335is but it is obvious why majority of us went with the bi-turbo version. Whereas many stayed with standard 6. If you want to mod your 3 series and you went with something besides a 335i, I know you are regretting it.
