Arrow Free member coders ??

Just a thought, why not have E90POST members who can assist our members in coding member cars during any events, etc. , for FREE.

If certain sponsors want to charge members, maybe they shouldn't be our sponsors , I'm sure they get plenty of business/referrals from this site, and if a member(s) wants to offer that service for free, then they shouldn't be banned/removed from our site since isn't what this site is all about , helping each other out and not in it for a quick buck ??

Those members who are mechanically inclined can always return the favor to a fellow coder .

i doubt anyone would be banned for offering help for free, but there is an underlying expectation that this type of forum drives the tuning business. if it hurts the sponsors, there could be blowback. without the sponsors, could this site exist? btw, check the diy section for all kinds of free advice.

is like weightlifting and health magazines, where the hidden message is try all you want to be natural, but without wheytooprotein plus, your results may vary (you skinny wimp)

Onebadmofo aren't you the one advertising free coding on reddit? Pretty much the coolest thing ever. Too bad I'm in MA and don't really know much about coding or what I'd want coded on a stock 325i. Maybe window control would be great.

I agree but they get other business. Coding is something that a lot of ppl can DIY.

What would be sad is that if a sponsors learn it from here for "free" and then sell the service.

I wouldn't mind helping out people in the Nashville area if they are interested and as long as my significant other doesn't mind .

I have most of the tools to do coding and programming available (KKL Cable/OPS device {supposed to handle DCAN but never tried it out}/Power Supply, etc.) and I wouldn't mind helping local people get all the tools they need setup on their own laptops in order to do all this themselves.

It wouldn't be "free" any more would it

Be patient and I am sure someone *ahem* is organizing some free coding services, even in SoCal.
