just got mine done this evening... already love the snappy shifts. I don't get an uncomfortable feeling though, it certainly feels a lot better.

Ya, I just have a Cobb AP stage 1 aggressive and driving around in D is actually kinda annoying. Made my car feel slower because it shifts at a lower RPM and being in 6th at 40mph feels funny. I'll be adding more mods so I'm sure it will feel better then but I figured the flash was simple so I did it.
I feel the same. D is pretty unbearable while running the Stg 1 aggressive. I put to stg0 this week while waiting on some Spark Plugs to show and D mode is more bearable it seems.

Love the flash especially for Sport Mode

I had a 300zx Twin Turbo back then. Would take the North bridge off the Island then cut back into Providence on the highway. Six lanes of 150+ at times. Would pass the troopers going so fast that they wouldn't even try to catch us. Office was only a few blocks off the highway on the East side, so I was always in the parking lot before they could get backup.

We had potholes in the midwest, big ones that would eat rims. Lucky for me I moved again and have been in Portland OR for the past three years. Not much for potholes here, but we do have some of the worst drivers in the country. In the past two days, I've had people in high speed lanes hit the brakes and come to a complete stop to allow someone to merge into traffic.
I grew up a few minutes from Providence. I moved away 6 years ago, but whenever I go back to visit I'm reminded of the way people drive there lol

And, just to prevent this from being a total thread jack, I flashed my TCU with the v49.7 daten today and so far I'm quite pleased

I miss the Island and early morning walks on the cliff past the old homes. I actually lived in the Astors Mansion on the third floor and also stayed in the owners suite a few times. X-wife was part of the living tours and worked for the estate.

Wedge is there a way to adjust the flash so that when im getting on it in say 2nd and let off before it shifts to 3rd it doesn't sit there and hang in 2nd? Or 3rd? whatever Im in. We talked about it earlier and I understand why its works well for on the track but street driving it kinda sucks.

I love it if you look in a proper context. By the way I drive with Cobb stg 1 agg. 93 oct. & std. throttle map.

The regular D mode is now your eco-pro economy mode that saves gas during city traffic. I am so glad that it is programmed under normal throttle response to keep the rpms below 2K and reach 6th by 40 mph an 5th by 30 mph. It saves gas.

If you want hard edged shifts and more sporty gearing where you can feel the power slide it over into sports mode. It takes only a second to do that. If you want all out control go to manual mode and fire away very quick shifts and rev match and hold the rpms till redline.

It gives you 3 distinct modes gas saver, sporty automated, and full manual. Some of you guys are just plain hard to please.

Sorry, couldn't help myself... I just took a long road trip and got 29 mpg over 600 miles. But I can't keep my foot out of the throttle around town. Avg 16 ish and 14 on e85...
+100

I'm around 15 -16 E50 and that's light driving. Good thing I didn't get the car for MPGs.

Hey guys, Wedge flashed my car tonight. It couldn't have been easier and he is a really cool guy. He also did some cool coding tricks while he was on like getting rid of the error my foglight delete caused, having mirrors fold with the key, key auto eject, etc.

Those of you thinking about this mod: go for it and be sure to give the guy a nice donation. He could definitely charge for his custom install software if he wanted to, and the peace of mind from having someone who could do the flash in his sleep doing the work is worth a lot in my mind.

Wedge is a boss for flashing so many cars for no nominal cost...def deserves credit for supporting the community.

I cant imagine going back to the Stock TCU logic.

Talk to wedge, he knows this stuff, I'm pretty sure the flash only changes tranny settings and jb4 can be used with it, when you install the flash i think you have to be on map 0 , but like i said check with wedge!

No, the Alpina flash has nothing to do with the engine management. You'll enjoy it even more with a tune.

Ok another question. Will you be able to remove check lights and error codes? I am having a few issues with my keys too.

If it show up in NCS we can code it back to defaults and it should take the values based on your VO.
