THATS WHY ITS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE 335i!!! BMW aren't daft, do you think they'd miss a trick like that if they could get away with it? Also the BMWP kits are all show and no go, they give less braking force than 335i caliper and still have shit OE pads. Better put some decent pads on your 335i brakes. Anyone interested in a group buy for EBC Yellowstuff pads? Offer is a minimum of 10 units (so 5 people if they all order front and rear pads) and we get 30% off the retail price.

For street use the braking system is reasonable on the 335*'s. Change of fluid to DOT4 Motul or Super blue + DS2500 should sort things out
DS2500 have been available for a while from DCperformance and Camskill can supply (at least they did when i bought mine). They worked really well for both street and track. The only downside was they squealed like a pig after any track work. But after re-bedding they were fine again. AFAIK - Having more pistons/pots does not automatically mean better braking performance. Also you often loose a lot of feel through the pedal. Not that great for street use. As has been suggested the 335* set up is supposed to be more powerful and better suited to the car than the Performance brake system available on the 1 series BUT if you are going to upgrade to a BBK then 4/6pot is the way to go. |

Reading on the US forum the BMWP kit has less brake force than the OE 335i caliper with its large single piston. They are also not a genuine performance brake like an APracing kit for example, they are more made for 'looks' (thus low price). Decent pads and fluid gives more brakes than you'll need on the road on a 335i/d |
