New to the e90 chassis and looking for info modding
What's up peeps?
I'm a former e46 owner that just upgraded to a 335i sedan! I have a couple of questions about what offset 19" wheels people are running, coding, and if the non i-drive is capable of playing music through Bluetooth. I have a set of m6 wheels that I had on my e46 but the offset is wayyyyy off on the e90. I don't want to run spacers... I'd rather just sell the wheels I have and buy a new set. I've tried doing searches but they were to no avail. All help is greatly appreciated!! |

Grats on the 07 e90. The wheels and tire section of the forum has gobs of info on offsets for staggered setups, I have been reading up on it a bit lately as I am about to be in the market for 19s as well. Rummage around in there and you are bound to find the information you will be looking for.
Unfortunately the non-idrive (not sure if idrive is capable either) will not play music thru bluetooth. You have to use the aux/usb jack under the center armrest. Your question about coding is rather vague btw. |

Thanks for the heads up about the Bluetooth.
A local guy may be buying my 19's so I can just start over in the wheel department! Lol As far as coding goes... what is avaible? I know windows working with key fob. I'd like my angel eyes to be my dtrl and for my anti theft to beep when I block my car |

You should be able to turn off your DRL in the menu using the stalk on the left side but you will have to use parking lights to get the AE only that way. There are all kinds of things you can do, enable rain sensor to close all windows and sunroof if it senses rain, change the chime (seatbelt, door open etc)... all kinds of things. None of which (other than DRL) have I done yet.
This will get you started in that area. http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=368 |

Congrats on the new car! I recently came to the e90 platform from an e36. Where in NC are you?
The alarm beep is controllable through the computer, I think. But if you don't have an alarm, then it won't beep at all. I think wheel offsets are 30 in the front and 35/37 in the rear. Or at least close to that. You're going to be hard pressed to fit 245s up front, though it has been done. A common wheel and tire setup is 8.5f/9.5 or 10r with 235f/265r. I'm currently running a square 235 setup and I really like the crisp turn-in.

I have a manual transmission Luke.
Jon, I'm in Concord. I have staggered OEM M6 19's right now with 235/35's up front and 245/45's on the rear. It has an alarm because I unlocked it with the key blade and it beeped |

Car only beeps when you lock it when you have the factory alarm module installed. 99% of cars don't, but you can buy it for around $300.
Angel eyes as true DRL is only an LCI thing. I know because it took two seconds to code on my car. |

Thanks Rick, I turned my DRLs off and I'm just turning my parking lights on.
I'm not sure if my car has the module or not. I do know it beeps when I unlock my door with the key blade |

Unfortunately there is no direct oil cooler kit add-on, wish there was. Unless you're planning on taking the car to a racetrack you wont really need one anyways. You can get the BMS cowl filters and remove the cowl, that will drop engine temps a bit, you can also get a vented hood which may help as well.
