Matey, cheap replicas come in 8JX4 wheels.
Is 8.5" = 8.5J?

I love that interior colour though I suspect it might be a bit controversial on here haha.

I went for blue in mine, a bit of colour on the interior really improves it I think

What are your plans for the centre trim down round the gearstick etc?

I thought about purple but glad I didn't seeing it! Maybe a darker purple.

Could just be a full set of fronts.

Yeah I know a lot of people won't like it, I'm not that bothered about them that want an OEM look as they've not done anything themself and it's easy to judge. The center trim around the gear stick is going glossy black.

Not keen on the stretched tyres etc, but I really like the purple interior!

Looks like you've made a good job of the wrap, too. Nice one

So my front msport bumper is in for paint at the minute and all grilles, fogs, washer caps have been ordered. Just wait until I get them back and I will update :-). Cant decide what to order next, the coilovers/rear msport bumper or interior? Any ideas?

The more i look at the pics... the more i just think the wheel is lost in the arch because you are trying to install rubber bands around an already small rim.

If i were you... i would think about going down a different route. The MEATY look.
It would look so much better lowering your car on to some meaty tyres as you have gone for a smaller 18" rim.

Just thinking out loud

yeah I agree. The tyres are way too small on 18's on a big car. But because of the weather I will put the wheels on in about march, so ill change the tyres around then. I'm also going to look for some rear camber adjusters, just for some poke.

Want everything else done before the wheels go on. Just cant decide what to order next haha!

DAT MEEAAT!
Thats an 18" rim on an M3. Looks awesome on a car with massive archers where even a 20" rim looks at home... So meat, with those sexy purple rims would look awesome IMO

So what size tyre. Its a 9.5j rear. Don't really want the stretched look personally as I think it looks scruffy. Im tempted to try my other tyres which are 225/40/18. However they will have stretch. If they don't look good enough ill look at going wider. Would probs want to stick to a 40 profile though

Usual standard fit width for a 9.5" is 275 but you could go down to a 255 and it wouldn't look stretched. I used to run 235 on a 9" and the side walls were straight up. You're wheel is 12.7mm wider so a 245 would go without issue I think but a 255 would give a bit of meat on there.

It depends on your offset and how low you go on the coilovers as to what tyre will be best.

These wheels don't suit not being stretched btw. Just look like 'oh you bought them from a place that supplies tyres, good for you' rather than working out required fitment.

Meat stance needs power and noise and aero to back it up. M3 works, this won't.

So some small updates. I finally sorted my front bumper. The car is finally back on the road after 2 weeks of being in the garage getting polished without any bumper.

so I gave her a clean at a friends. before I parked her away. First time with snow foam!

I then took the bumper off and that went to the sprayer. Sadly the SE wasnt worth painting when he inspected it so then I sent my msport bumper instead. While waiting I polished the car, and ordered all the grilles for the msport, I also decided to wrap my grilles with my girlfriend in gloss black.

My 50/50 I know its not amazing however the polish I used was rubbish and it was my first time with a machine polisher

rear quarter -

Looking mean with no bumper

Then it finally came back! Chuffed with the finish.

Fitting it on the car last night with all my fogs and grilles with the help of my old man

That's how it is atm. I've got my washer jet caps going on tonight with my full size front plate then the front is done. For now anyway.

Why are you putting a plate on a lovely smooth front?

exactly my thoughts...
I would just put the number plate on the front of the windscreen.

But if you really want it there then you can just use these:

But please don't drill a hole there in the shiny new bumper

So I finally got round to getting bigger tires and putting the wheels and coilovers on. I went with JOM coilovers and kept the comfort springs and adjusters is. A lot comfier than I expected.

I went down to dubfreeze in stafford on sunday and got up at 6 to clean it before.

Went there and back and it was filthy so she got a 2nd clean of the day.
got the misses to help out this time

Clean again

Ive got to space the rears slightly and im tempted to take my adjuster and comforts out so it goes lower but I'm not too sure yet. Got MSport rear bumper going to paint soon so that should be on next month. Then I'm not sure what else to do. Any recommendations?

Your snow foam ratio is way off, that looks more like somebody jizzed on your paint work Try mixing it with a bit of car shampoo and top up with water about 60/40

Love the wheel style although not a fan of the purple.
