Morton please report back if it works or most likely doesn't.

EDIT: Here is a post from the app developer himself. Good luck. http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showpo...postcount=1609

The bluetooth module is separate from the car. You don't connect using the car's bluetooth.

sounds like the Android people may have it easier with this app in terms of cost, but there might be a bluetooth adapter piece for the iphone that is cheaper than the one that the creator is selling?

He used to have instructions on how to build it yourself but I think he got sick of so many people asking him to troubleshoot why theirs didn't work.
In my opinion he deserves the money for creating this, it's a great product that really finishes off the JB4.

Yeah it's unfortunate that there aren't cheaper options available.
He's not buying cheap cables for a couple of bucks and selling it for over $100 though. The parts that he has to use cost quite a bit.

I've put countless hours into the visuals of the app, but thats only a fraction of what he spent coding it. We're also both college students working on this outside of school in our spare time. Although I don't get paid for every app he sells, I think its fair that he charges a couple more bucks on top of the cost of the parts for all he has done. If he didn't make any money off of these, he wouldn't be spending hundreds of hours coding and making BT kits by hand.

As this thread has alluded to, it's not "just a wire" otherwise you could just DIY. The potential it unlocks though is incredible and is well worth the money in my book.
