new GoPro testing
1st off, i'm officially the worlds worst when it comes to editing video's, i'm borderline full retard.
got a new Hero 2, been testing with it and determined I dont like the audio quality so I have a mini stereo mic with extension coming so I can record sound near the exhaust, turbo, me, etc and have it sound better. I'll mess with that more later, still in the mail. Also included a walk-around of the car, got a few PM's asking for more detail shots of the MM front tray so here you go. a few 2nd gear pulls up to ~70mph, drag radials sliding around pretty good now in 2nd. one 3rd gear pull on an on-ramp to redline, ~100mph+. Stupid traffic didnt help the fun factor here. So here you go, 1080p avaiable: critique/criticism encouraged.

Nice vid, your car is fast! I have a Hero 2 as well, what mic do you have?
Suggestions, cut out the parts where your pulling out of your neighborhood and cruising at 20-30mph / pulling into Royal Farms. This would reduce a 7min video to about half the time.

I just picked up a 2 $2 mics and a 25' male to female audio cable on amazon (roughly $10 total). I'm plan on keeping the mics in my trunk or taping them next to my exhaust behind the bumper, running the cable through the car to the gopro. Now all I need to test the setup is a skeleton case.
I used this info on the mics. Sounds pretty good. http://ls1tech.com/forums/multimedia...o2-hd-cam.html As for editing techniques, my videos tend to be more sped up, using Windows Live! movie maker. I'm going to keep using it until I get Adobe Premiere Elements. Also, agree with what Dean said. Editing is a PITA but once you got it, it's pretty solid. i'm sure you've seen some of my vids on here. |

Hey dude. Nice video. You obviously have a bad ass e36 M3. I do however have a friendly recommendation. Start the video after you get out of your neighborhood. I work in Ellicott City and after watching that video I now know exactly where you live.
I'm not trying to be creepy, but there are bad guys out there, who can figure out where your bad ass ride is. |
