guess you're right, we got in and pulled it out to look at it and aside from being a little dirty looking up near the closest part to the opening, there isnt really much to tell. we did clean it off before putting it back in and it feels slightly better but still not 100%. gonna check grab a new one and hopefully it solves the problem. anything else i should do while im at it? oil change or anything? obviously the dealer told me every 15k but id say its somewhere around 8.

I ordered a lot and will probably have enough for another go around bit it's tough getting around the curves and making the corners look good. I've just done the small driver side vent and rear door trim and it's not 95% perfect....I've always turned in B work.

I will sell them to you. Once I am done, I'll measure it out. Looks like I probably didnt even use half of what I ordered. I initially order 5' x 5'. It's a little tough pulling the pieces off not wanting to snap them in half and then wrapping around corners and curves. I'd say mine's about 85% perfect. About to do the main center console piece tonight.

Thank you and Goodluck on the rest of the wrapping, is the vinyl good quality I heard there's different brands some stronger then others? Also I'm in Tucson right now for school but will be home in march and will most defiantly buy it. If that's too long though I understand, just a problem that I'm at school :/ if its a problem I could maybe have a friend back home pick it up

I just finished and overall grade would be a B-. The center console was looking good until I snapped it back into the car and put the shifter back in. Edges started to come up. I did not use any glue, maybe that would've made a stronger bond after it dries. Anyways, just looking at the interior though is awesome for my DIY. Cool thing is that I can just peel it all off. Total time it took me would be about 3-4 hours. If I wasn't interrupted and could get the pieces off the car quicker, then I think it can be done close to 3 hours.

Spring break isn't too far away. If someone else locally wants to buy it off me before that then it's all fair game. I have 2023 square inches left from my 3600 square inches I bought. There's definitely enough to do a complete trim wrap with the weave going in the same direction. As for toughness, it wasn't thin. I'd say it was pretty good stuff but the snug areas made it a little messy in the end.

I'll take a picture with some real daylight.

Next I'm waiting for my matte black wrap to do my mirror caps!!

Here's my finished product. Overall after everything was reinstalled I give my work a low B. This stuff would be hard for a perfectionist. Thankfully I am not, but it looks good to the untrained eye.

Did you use a heat gun of any sort to help with conforming it to the edges and rounding of corners?

It definately helps with the adhesive and working the corners and tight areas. I bought my heat gun for 15 bucks at harbor freight.

That is what I was thinking. I was going to buy myself a heat gun and sheet of this vinyl in the next month and get to work. I also plan on buying some "smoke" vinyl and doing tail lights, side markers and possibly the headlights.

Murse let me know what smoke vinyl you end up choosing, until I get blacklines I really wanna smoke mine just a little so the red doesn't look so bright. You can see in my sig how my lights just don't really work out well. I wanna do that and wrap my trim over my spring break.

I did not use a gun. I pretty much had all the pieces wrapped good until reinstalling and vinyl got pushed up. I should've used a gun around the spots where the pull was too tight and had a chance of tearing.

I used a blow dryer when I put the smoke film on my taillights.

Finally got the M3 rep front with cf lip, M3 sides, and Mtech rear installed. Plan on getting gloss black grilles, 10mm spacers/front, and 15mm spacers/rear this week. Let me know what you think!

It's been a while since I've logged into the forums; been really busy with work lately. Anyway, I decided to take some photos before watching the Superbowl today.
