[ALL ITEMS SOLD] Parting out as the car has been sold. (Gunmetal GTR is here : http://www.flickr.com/photos/3011456...7624952632028/). Local only - DC metro area - NOVA PM for contact info. No shipping. This is all local. Face-to-face sales only. I don't care if it takes a year to sell this stuff. Pics of my 335. http://www.flickr.com/photos/3011456...7624145683217/ Pics of the parts. http://www.flickr.com/photos/3011456...7624323107691/ Pics of the gtr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/3011456...7624952632028/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/3011456...7624447836878/ _______________________________[ITEMS SOLD ARE BELOW]_________________________________ BT cable, enthusiast version - $ 200 [SOLD] (1 code has been used. 2 slots are free) (No pic at the moment) Forge Diverter Valves (DVs) (silver) - $ 100 [SOLD] (Will install this for $25) Pic : http://www.flickr.com/photos/3011456...7624323107691/ UR intake (cropped, single cone) - $ 50 [SOLD] (Will install this for $25) Cropped means, that it does NOT go down into the wheel well. It remains in the engine bay like the DCI intakes. The main pipe has a single cone intake stuck onto it. I did this because the pipe bends are smooth, and its a lot easier to install than the DCI intakes (because the filter is not in your way). Pic : http://www.flickr.com/photos/3011456...7624323107691/ AMS IC - $ 700 [SOLD] (Will install this for $150) Pic : http://www.flickr.com/photos/3011456...7624323107691/ AR 3" -> 2.5" tapered DPs (XI) - $ 675 (New, never used) [SOLD] http://www.ardesign.info/catalog/ard...pes-p-188.html (no pic at the moment) Top Speed exhaust - $ 200 (never installed) [SOLD] Note, I cut the flange at the DP end, separating two pipes from each other (each pipe can flex independently). This was done to relieve stress on the DPs, as the exhaust was pulling on the DPs too much. Install was aborted because it does not fit an XI - transfer case is in the way. Pic : http://www.flickr.com/photos/3011456...7622852039689/ Procede Rev.2 Canbus (V3/V4/V5 software compatible. Currently loaded with V4 software.) - $ 600 [SOLD] (Will install this for $50) Pic : http://www.flickr.com/photos/3011456...7624323107691/ RR catch can - $ 50 [SOLD] (Will install this for $50) Pic : http://www.flickr.com/photos/3011456...7624323107691/ AR oil cooler - $600 (new, never used.) [SOLD] For cars with no factory oil cooler : Needs oil filter housing, thermostat, to complete install. (or the AR Design retrofit kit). http://www.ardesign.info/catalog/ard...ge1-p-191.html (no pics at the moment) Spare set of 335 TD03 turbos - $ 195 [SOLD] Purchased from a turbo reseller with supposedly less than 1000 miles on the originating car. No trauma on visual inspection. Were going to be used as a core for an upgrade. (no pics at the moment) KW V3 coilovers - $ 725 [SOLD] THIS IS FOR XI ONLY (On the lock ring of one front coilover - the "lock bolt" thread has been re-threaded, as the original thread was stripped. Uses a different size bolt now. Pic : http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5068/...7b649891_b.jpg) NOTE : KW V3 squeak. If you can't take squeaks when you go over bumps, these are not for you. Pics : http://www.flickr.com/photos/3011456...7624323107691/ KMAC Stage 2 camber places - $ 95 [SOLD] Pics : http://www.flickr.com/photos/30114567@N06/5875957420/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/30114567@N06/5875957430/ Rear carrier with Wavetrac LSD - $1875 [SOLD] *** 6MT *** (This is the ENTIRE PUMPKIN, not just the LSD. No work required. Just take it to a shop and it's a clean swap. You can keep your stock rear end to go back to stock later on, and re-sell the full pumpkin.). Built at PTuning in Manassas Virginia, using spare OEM 6MT carrier and Wavetrac LSD from HPAutowerks. yea i heard they had a problem with the first batch that was released or something of the sort.
OP if you contact KW and tell them that your v3's squeak, they will repair them so that you do not squeak. (it may be better if you do this prior to selling them because i dont believe the warranty is transferable). GLWS's

Shipping will easily take 1/3 off of whatever I make. It's not a 'problem with the first batch'. When I googled KW squeak I found plenty of threads about this stuff. Here's a thread about KW squeak from IWSTI that goes back to 2006 : http://www.iwsti.com/forums/gd-suspe...eak-issue.html It's not limited to KW. Plenty of threads about all kinds of coilovers squeaking. It's not till mine squeaked and I started searching did I find out how much this happens : http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=...835207582d5ee7 There's someone that doesn't mind noises. Heck, people put clutches in their cars that chatter. Plus I have no guarantee that the set that I get back from KW won't squeak. Time and money for uncertain results. -scheherazade Last edited by scheherazade; 06-22-2010 at 07:40 AM.. |

You might want to drop your price on the dif, you could order a whole bmw pumpkin ($1200 +$100 core) and a quafie several hundred less.

IIUC, $1200+$100core (new carrier) + $1500 (quaife) = $2800 + $labor and $fluids it'll be well into the $3ks. [Remembering prices from before] And if you're MT you'll need to modify your welded crown ($700), or buy a new gearset ($600). Either way, it shouldn't be less than $2700. HP Autowerks has a good deal with Wavetrac upgrades : $2K + $1K core return. If you don't want your stock rear end, you pay $2k. If you want to keep your stock rear end, you pay $3k. In my case, I'm offering someone the chance to keep their stock rear end for $2.7k. Keep in mind : - This is the bolted 6MT (not bolted AT, and not welded 6MT). - You keep your core with this setup, and can go back to stock. - Labor is already done. Quote:

The way I was working it is with my dealers car club discount the whole pumpkin (bolted dif) is $1200 +$100 core and I could then pick up the other used one for $800.
Also how does the instillation come into play here? I would diy if you were implying you would be doing it.

Dealer sells bolted MT diffs? Last I knew they were only available for AT. If so, that's pretty sweet. Which installation? LSD into the carrier, or carrier into the car? LSD into the carrier : Requires tools to pull bearings and measure backlash. Potentially shims if stock aren't to spec for the LSD. I had to send my carrier to a machine shop to pull the bearings, as they were 'in there too tight' to come out with a regular hand cranked bearing puller. Can you DIY? Yes, it's not hard (easy to wing it). However knowing if it's got good tolerances will be a toss-up. If the diff wobbles, it will grind away over time. But you could be fine. Installation of carrier into car: This is up to whoever. I'm not in the mood to do that job :P. There's folks that have done it in their driveway... although I wouldn't want to (uncomfortable as hell). The carrier swap (with tools and a lift) takes no time at all. As far as what I paid: I was charged for installation with the rebuild as a total sum, so I don't know the itemized amount just to install. The swap back to stock carrier was free. They simply did it while parting out my coilovers, as it was no extra effort. (At least that's how the bill was explained to me) -scheherazade |
