Car looks pretty wank to be honest. Dont like any of the new offerings from BMW. Apart from maybe the 5 and 6 which are ok. But would not own. More runflat wankery.

I think time will tell with the new 3 series, but right now I think the front end is the problem for me. It looks both squashed, and fussy. I believe the bonnet line is for pedestrian safety, but it just looks ugly. And the odd shaped headlight glass doesn't help. Mike. |

Like it a lot, except for the horrid bonnet shut line from the F30 as previously mentioned. That must be what the designer that made the downturned exhaust from the original E90 has been working on since then.
What the hell is that giant airbag about? Makes an ugly ugly steering wheel. Looks like a throwback from the nineties. |

I don't like the way the headlamps connect to the grilles on the F30/31, but it looks a bit better here with the wider/squashed headlamps and grille.
Overall it looks decent, but like a lot of cars designed in the past 2-3 years, it looks very fussy, and overstyled. There aren't many clean, elegant lines on it. And that boomerang vent? Wtf? One of the things I like about the E92 is the length (including rear overhang) and interior cabin space - the back seats can easily accommodate two adults in comfort. On the F32, the rear overhang appears shorter so I presume the boot will be smaller, and the glasshouse curves down so rapidly at the back that it looks as though the rear seat passengers will be at risk of banging their heads on the rear windscreen, if not the roof. Maybe it's daft judging a coupe on space and practicality, but the E92s abilities in these areas make it a very versatile car, imho. Will be a shame if that is lost on the F32. |

Might it be a US steering wheel? I think US spec cars often have much bigger airbags as they have to be designed to support the impact of an unbelted occupant, whereas Euro airbags can be smaller and less explosive in the assumption that the occupants will always be belted.
