Cost of shipping wheels...
I'm been surfing the net today to figure out how much would it cost to send a set of wheels and the prices I been coming up with are down right insane. Those of you who shipped wheels, how much did it costs to ship a set, let's say from the East to West coast? Rim+tire weight is approx. 46lbs a piece x 4.

I've shipped some tires from DC to NY and it cost approx. 20 bucks per tire, each weighing ~30lbs. I know this is nowhere near the answer you were looking for, but hope it helps at least some.
You can use fedex andd ups websites to get an idea of costs - you enter the approx size and weight for each wheel and then multiply that times the number of wheels you need shipped - at least that's how I did it.

Its about $120 for wheels only and somewhere in the $180-200 range for wheels/tires depending on what carrier you use from East to West.
