Will just adding an e85 mix do anything if running a cobb stage 1+ agressive map or do you have to have it protuned to see any differences? Wasn't sure if just changing the fuel would make the OTS map make adjustments on its own with the added octane boost, etc.

Nah, not for COBB at least. Jb has an "autotune" setting. For COBB you need a protune or there is the beta e30 race map you can download on to your AP. I'm like right on the verge of trying the e30 map. I'm on e30 with Stg 2+ Aggressive but that's cause all I have is 91 ACN so I need the extra octane from the e85.

Thanks for the reply. Will the e30 race map be ok to run with everything stock except an AMS intercooler or is it more geared for full mods; intercooler, DP, intake, etc?

Ah nah man. DP/FMIC at least required. It says intake req and cbe recommended but as long as you log and youre on top of your timing/afr/trims you can probably get away with stock intake.

I will be installing a SteveAZ stage 1 inline kit and BMS backend flash. Can I run map 7 on my jb4 g5iso with 65-70% e85? Current mods are JB4 g5 iso,VRSF downpipes, ER chargepipe Tial blow off valve, BMS dual cone intakes,Cyba scoops. I am running 36% e85 now on map 5.

No one can tell you how much E85 you can run. All cars/fuel system will support different amounts of ethanol.

You need to slowly increase the ethanol content (E40, E50, E60...) and log, log and log.

I am currently stock and actually put about 3.5 gallons of e85 last week, I noticed the car runs smoother and I get better mpg. I think even stock people can notice a difference with low amounts of e85, and by that I mean 2-3 gallons before a lpfp upgrade

Bit weird that you get better mpg. Ethanol requires more energy to burn and therefore uses more fuel. Roughly about ~30%.

So from what I'm reading our DME tries to regulate lpfp psi's to around 72.5 . I'm looking at my logs with e30 and they look sight I guess. Most I see is like 80 momentarily. What's the first symptom we'll see? Low and high psi's I imagine. Either not being able to deliver enough fuel or maybe way too much?

Try using the FlexFinder app. I was surprised by how many gas stations around me carried E85.

Welcome to Canada.... Best option in Canada is race fuel. That's why I run 109 octane full time now.

How'd the install go? I did mine last week and took me forever to get that damn junction box off. Now that is replaced and just finished my SteveAZ stage 1 yesterday then immediately paid for a PTF eTune for e50 or so, just waiting to hear from them!

Just a Q for those guys who run E85 and use their cars as weekend cars. Do you have issues with ethanol going off if a tank full lasts around 4-8 weeks?

I only use my car once every few weeks and im reluctant to switch to E85 just yet due to reading about it retaining moisture over a period of time

I don't go that long, but I can go 3 weeks or so on a tank not driving it everyday. I haven't had any issues running E60. Been running E85 almost a year now.
