Question about OEM style 230 wheels and valve stem length

I purchased a set of OEM 19" style 230's and went to have the wheels mounted and tires put on and the technician informed me that he couldn't transfer the TPMS and valve stems from my oem 18" 189's because the valve stem wasn't long enough......

Has anyone else had this problem?? I have never heard anyone on the forum mention it. I have done a ton of research and did figure out that BMW has a few different length valve stems but I don't know what length I will need. Unfortunately, my BMW dealership here is a joke and didn't even know there were different length stems.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you ever figure what was the issue?

I did (hopefully), after a ridiculous amount of time researching i did find the part # for the valve stem on the 230's, which was a different # from the stem on my 189's. They haven't arrived yet, but i'm hoping it fixes the problem. I'll update the thread when/if I ever get them installed.

Just to update, in case anyone else has the same issue and does a search. The valve stem needed for OEM 230's is BMW part #36136775937 (black dot on the bottom of stem)

Just found this old thread in a search, you guys rock. Running into the same issue (actually just having my 230s refinished, but needed new valve stems) and the wheel shop said they didn't see a dot on my old valve stems. off to Tischer...
