Lci tailights harness or coding??

So I have pre lci tails and want to do lci tailights conversion. I see all this fuzz about how a harness is needed and stuff. Can't I just get them coded from someone that knows how to code it?

I have switched over recently and right now I'm just dealing with a fast blinker and error code.

I'll get my ECU reprogrammed in the near future.

Even if I couldn't get them programmed I'd make the sacrifice, the LCI are sooo much nicer!

i believe the coding is to get them working correctly and the harness is needed to not throw errors.

I just had my car codes with some stuff last night and asked the person coding it if he can do it and he said yea no problem. So I will make the switch! Thanks for your input bro

To do the conversion you need a PNP Harness which EAS and Alekshop sells (It comes with the lights if you buy through them).

The lights will have a fast turn signal as if a bulb is out and you will also have an error code until you get it programmed by an Autologic.

You can call Autologic to find the shops closest to you that have an actual autologic and can do the programming. When I called they gave me 5 shops and I picked the one with the best pricing.

OP on your sig it says you have a E90. If you want the LCI tails you will need a trunk as well. OTOH, E92 lci tailights are direct plug N play (need coding to eliminate error message).
