Types of Tires in PNW

All,

I just want to take a quick poll of all the local bimmers in the PNW. What type of tires are you running on in your car? All-seasons? summer performance? ultra all season performance?

Thanks.

I put on Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS's as soon as I could. Great all season tire IMHO.

I run Hankook Ventus Evo V12's year round and they're great even in the rain. They're pretty cheap too compared to other tires. Here's a review on them http://www.caranddriver.com/comparis...12-evo-page-10

On my wife's x3 we have Michelin primacy they were great in the snow... Getting a e92 xdrive in a few weeks with 18 inch summer wheels, not sure what I'll do next winter debating snows vs all seasons for winter q xdrive should do ok with all seasons?.. Anyone elso run summers and switch to all season in winter?

Im running these also, not the best tire in the rain but with 9.5/10.5in wide tires nothing is going to be perfect. I'm definitely comfortable running these year round, cept when it snows then theyre worthless haha

Max summer year round... Do feel that winter tires could help in the cold temps but I just dont drive crazy when its cold out.

Michelin pilot super sports. Super super sticky great performance tire. I ran Hankook v12s for 50k miles, it's a good cheap tire but very slippy at 50 degrees or less. PSS's I feel have twice the traction but about twice the price. I just don't drive it in bad weather.

I drive V12's year round as well.

Need to finish paying off my car and then a truck will be my winter setup. Was not a fan of using my car as a snow plow when the ruts got deep this past snow storm. Got stuck multiple times bottoming out on the center snow, but luckily rocked it out each time. I'm sure my clutch/transmission loved me for it.

I'm leaning toward the Conti DWS or the Potenza RE970AS if I go with all seasons or the Michelin PSS if I go summer tires. The PSS is costly though. $1400 for 19" stagg set ups.

Nitto Invo's all year round right now - almost went with Hankook Ventus. Definitely don't drive crazy in the rain, and pretty much not at all in the snow, hah.

Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas are great and a great value. I'd place them equal or better than PS2s for a lot less. Don't drive my car in the snow, but it's gotten me through every day this Winter so far.

Had those on my e92 for a couple of years. Tread pattern is amazing and definitely a conversation piece at meets! The only downside is they wear quick and when they do, they don't have much traction in the wet. But I would still get them for a summer's drive
