In Germany there are no closed factories during holiday time. We are not in Italy ...

Fiat closes its factory the whole August ...

When a allocated car is marked "sold" to a customer (ie Priority 1) the car can move up in the production schedule.

At minimum I would press him for the production week or call the 800 number.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,
JoeS
Thanks Joe! I will call the 800# now.

It's not the engine..

The real cause of the wait is the 335 faulty fuel pumps. They don't have a solution yet so they are pulling the plug before they let any more of these faulty products in to the wild. Let's just hope they get it fixed soon and by the time everyone's breaks and to those waiting, you are luck to get something that works instead of waiting in the shop.

Ok All.. Just spoke to BMW.

My 3658*** is a Week 20 (5/14) Build (but I am told that this may change).

That's not true...where's your source?

FYI...there was no delay due to engine either...actually, there were no delays, period. It was just a bunch of hearsay.

JoeS - Thanks for the reply. The wait is just killing me. My prod week is 19. so I am adding 4 weeks to that to the east coast.

Last time I ordered a coupe it was 8 weeks, this time 12-13 weeks. Trying to be patient.

It is not totally BS. You are lucky and got a slot that was just sitting around at that dealer. I ordered 3/12 and maybe will have the car 6/12, with a confirmed production week 19.

My pleasure Scott. As to the wait, it'll be here before you know it!

Yep, my aunt is a Sr. VP at Deutsche Bank at 60 Wall, and they will observe the national sausage festival the entire month of August. I woudn't be surprised if BMW does the same as it's virtually a national holiday.
