Gun metal grey trim vinyl wrap!

Hey guys, just wanted to show you my wrapped interior trim. It was my first time and at first it was a bit difficult but then I got the hang of it and it was actually pretty fun. Best 20 dollars I've ever spent! Hope you guys enjoy. (Please excuse the somewhat dirty interior)

If there is anyone who has experience in vinyl wrapping, would you mind giving me some tips on how to get the circled areas to be perfect? I had a bit of trouble with the sides of the circled areas, it always bunched up a bit even after I heated it up and stretched it.

I don't know if it's possible but I think you should also do the silver trim on the steering wheel. and the break handle!

Good idea, I actually thought about doing the silver on the steering wheel. Good thing I have a ton left! Not sure if the break handle would be possible though since its leather.

I like the brushed look, but you need to do something about that floor mat. That can get dangerous the way it's bunching up around the accelerator.

I always fix it before I drive, but you're right about it. The dealer forgot to give me the part that holds the mat down when they threw in the mats, I've done a little research and it seems like the part that holds the weather mats down is a velcro pad piece that screws onto the floor.

Can anyone confirm that for me and provide a part number if possible? Thank you.

looks good. does the pattern all run the same way? its hard to tell from the pics.

for those circled corners, i made sure to start with the center of the side and stretch it to the corners. then move the vinyl on the top and bottom away from the ends and it was perfect for me.

Yeah, I made sure the pattern was running in the same direction. I redid my rear AC area and I figured it out, I wasn't applying enough heat to make the vinyl even softer to stretch.

Looks really good. Where can I get that shift knob besides getbmwparts, was it an easy DIY?

I bought it used on ebay. Putting it in is easy, you just have to cut the old boot off and thread it through the boot in your car. I haven't wired it yet but it doesn't seem hard, mostly plug and play after you make the wiring harness.

Looks good. Yeah, it is easier to work with a circle when you cut and '+' into the circle. That way you can smooth our each of the four sections.

not sure i like. i think a lighter color would be better... or if you're modified... then something bold like blue or red
