Recommendations for Mid-High End Sit Down Restaurant

looking for a nice place to have dinner & drinks with a few employees from work. im open to anything from sushi, steak, etc. nothing in the city though so just in ny and north jersey area.

thoughts much appreciated, thanks again guys

North Jersey/ NY is a pretty broad area, anything areas in mind? Bergen, Hudson, Essex, Union, Middlesex? Bronx, Staten, Queens, Brooklyn?

Lola's in Great Neck is pretty good. Went there with the girl and you can request the chef to come out to talk to you if you get there early enough. He will cater your tapas menu to your liking. The sous chef was on restaurant impossible!

In Astoria Queens. Good food. Big place. Very nice to get drinks. Good looking girls. 2 large bars. Open high ceiling. After 10-11 turns into a club.

I just went there last weekend with about 10 people for dinner, drinks and dance. We had a blast.
