Metallic Sound Coming from Front Wheel? *HELP*

Morning everyone!

Been a while since I've posted here, but you're always reliable when it comes to diagnosis, so I thought I'd give it a shot!

Just last night I was out doing some 'spirited' driving, down some winding roads. When I was driving back home, I could hear a metallic(?) sound that seemed to be coming from my front driver wheel. I think the best way to describe the sound would be to imagine a rock that is tumbling around the inner section of your rim. The steering of the car still felt fine, there wasn't any issues there, I checked all that I could on the side of the road without any luck.

Has anyone had any symptoms like this before? What are your thoughts? Could it be a sign of a failing tie rod?

Any and all input would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

wheel bearing? would help if you recorded the sound and posted it.

I could try and see if I could get a recording of it! I'll grab a friend today and see if we're able to!

A good starting point would be to find out if the noise is related to either wheel speed or engine speed or neither. This will make it much easier to diagnose.

If related to wheel speed, the problem is most likely either with the brake components, wheel bearing, or a wheel rubbing condition.

Probably a stone caught between the rotor and the heat shield on the back side of the rotor. Should be easy to check.
