Cost for repair

Hey everyone. So I have this dent/scratch/scrape in my car. Wondering how much (about) it would cost to repair? Pics attached. Thanks.

1if you have full coverage you can call your insurance company and tell them your car has been vandalized

2 take your car to a reputable body shop and get an estimate instead of asking us

4or you can get creative and put a sticker on it. get like a carbon fiber tape and line it at the bottom and paint it to your color or black or even clear coat if you like that glossy look.

6 sell car

Call a body shop and get a quote is the correct answer. The lowest cost fix might be to purchase a set of replica side skirts for $100-150, then pay $200-300 to have them painted and fitted. You might even be able to find a used one the same color as your car.

If your deductible is $500 like most policies it wouldn't be worth it to get insurance involved, IMO. This should not be an expen

Depends on your expectations but can be done for $130.

I'd get some replica M3 side skirts and get them painted and then put them on myself.

M3 side skirts - $150 to $200.00

Paint - $200.00

This is also what I would do. In fact, I will when I upgrade to an M3 rep front bumper.

Then I would have to buy both right? And I don't know how the m3 skirts would look on my car.

Ok so if I want to buy it online should I buy OEM and if so where? I looked but couldn't find it. Also if I'm gonna install it myself, is there anything I should be wary of

You think insurance adjusters are complete idiots and cannot tell obvious damage from the vehicle bottom scrapping an object and vandalism

you can call them whatever you want. but you must make sure you know what your paying for. you obviously dont have full coverage insurance. i have insurance for everything. myself, phone, my house, my appliances cause im not paying full price for damages. im paying for help incase something happens. to get that damage done right, its not gonna be cheap. if something goes wrong if the paint bubbles flakes for additional scratchs and you paid out of pocket to some shady shop, you will be paying double. that will not happen if you pay a shop to do it for insurance price because its guaranteed for life of owner ship.

for you to say thats insurance fraud, your a noob.

Exactly the kind of reply I would expect from someone called "El Cheapo Loco" haha. But seriously this is what you need, then depending on how much you care about the finish of the paint take it to a shop or look up how to paint it yourself. I've seen some incredible DIY paint jobs for something small like this but you need to be patient and do it right.

Lol bud you need to quit assuming you know anything about strangers on the internet. I have full coverage on all 3 of my vehicle with $500 deductibles and make 6 figures.

Unlike you I'm not shady mofo that tries to claim road damage was "vandalism".....or advise anybody else to commit insurance fraud. It seems like you are the one that doesn't have the money for repairs or new things if you pay for suckers bets like appliance insurance. LMAFO

I want to see where this goes as I have not seen where 3seriesman had any intention of committing insurance fraud.

i dunno but i live in fl and couple years ago hurricane charlie damaged alot of my property, power surges destroyed some of my appliances and top of that i lost my job dunno what i would do without insurance. i do pay alot for insurance and use it when i have to. but we all bounce back. learned alot on how insurance actually works. you guys call it insurance fraud or whatever but get a moving violation or get into an accident that you caused and watch you get kicked off the insurance plan that you paid alot to have. to me thats the biggest fraud. one time my g37 got keyed up by an ex insurance happily paid to repaint the car when i told them the car was vandalized . how the hell would they know that if i did it to get a new paint job. they dont because i paid for that coverage. do you get it now? good luck bro and op.

Ya OP has common sense. Best thing for him would be to buy OEM painted side skirt off a wrecked car. Nothing is worse that one panel that doesn't quite match the rest due to color tone or aging.
