My thxgiving gift from police
well, long story short.
On the way to LAS VEGAS for break on tuesday afternoon. hwy 58 was like a dead road, no one at all. I was crusing 90 miles for like the 1 hr cuz there is simply no one but me. All a sudden, a police car showed up in my back from no whereand caught me gave me a ticket for speeding up 90 at 65 zone.... and two un-correctable tickets for window tint and modified exhaust I was asked to sign the ticket saying "without admitting guilt, i promise to appear at the time and place indicated below"...and the court is like 5 hours away from where I live. I had no choice cuz the asshole would not let me go unless I sign the ticket... Sigh....what a thankful holiday. Anyone knw if I can change the court location to somewhere near me? tried to call this week but guess it is thanksgiving holiday and no one could assist my question. gonna call them up again nxt week. Nvr appear on the court, any one get any advice on it? or how should i bullshit with the judge? Thanks in advance and hope everyone had a great holiday. Kev |

Dude;
That sucks, then he has to rub it in with 2 additional tickets. Looks like you help his quota; it is getting close to the end of the month. GL with the ticket and ask for a radar detector from Santa.

you can try fighting the speedin tix though, have all your ducks in the row, give 'em ur descriptions, explanations, in logical manner, etc, and hope the judge will reconsider, but doubtful though. good luck.

My bad! Took a "Illegal street racing course" early this year and remember the instructor saying "modified exhaust" cites are non correctable now. Back to normal, but its up to the Officers discretion wether he/she wants to make it correctable or not.

Unfortunately, citations issued in one jurisdiction must be answered in the same jurisdiction, or paid as guilty. That sucks but it's the system. Hate to say it but even a Valentine 1 won't help with the latest radar if the cop wants to hit you when he sees you if he doesn't try to nail someone else first. The first "beep" you hear is the only one you hear and that's your money being sucked out of your wallet.
The best detectors work great IF the cop is trying to nail others and your detector is triggered by those signals BRFORE he actually traps you. Otherwise it's too late. Was enroute to Washington State and cruising at 85 when i went under a bridge and there sat the CHP...luckily he must have been waiting with his rear antenna and been checking the other way! Never a sound or anything. Then I heard a warning and saw his lights go on and he took off south. Lucky day! Also lucky that the BMW speedos are off by about +4 mph as a rule......maybe that helps some of us? |
