Navigation screen black, but radio, cd, etc works fine

Hello everybody,

My navigation / idrive screen in my 2007 e92 has gone black and will not come back up. The radio / cd seems to work just fine, and I'm able to cycle through music, but the screen is pitch black. Even if I point a flash at the screen, I don't see anything on the display.

I have tried the following to no avail:

1. disconnecting battery and reconnecting after 10 minutes
2. rebooting CCC / iDrive by holding Volume + CD Eject + DVD Eject for 10 seconds
3. disconnecting / reconnecting CCC screen (removing 2 T10 torx screws and removing both cables, then re-attaching.

Any ideas on what options I have?

Would anyone be so kind to meet up for a little bit and let me try out their idrive screen? It takes about 2 minutes to remove (just 2 screws and 2 wires to unplug). That would tell me immediately if it is just the screen, or more than that! I'm in Reston, and I'll buy you a drink for your trouble

Thanks!

Shak

Just wanted to post an update.

From my research so far on this site and google, looks like it might very well be a blown fuse. I looked through a bunch of 5A fuses but no luck so far. Looks like the fuse diagram for MY2007 is different (fuse numbers begin 48, 47, 53, 50, 14).

Next step is to go one by one through all the fuses and see if I can find any that are blown.

I never liked that CCC, but it's crazy how much I miss it now that the screen is all black

UPDATE
Fixed the problem!! Turns out the display was faulty. I bought a display from an E60 and it fit in perfectly and the display instantly turned on!!

I found one locally on Craigslist, but you may have better luck looking on ebay. GL!
