Went to BMW for my n52 and was quoted plus at 6x$30 and then 2 hours labour to replace at 2x$90. I called my buddy who works at BMW and got the plugs for his cost of $17.50 each, but if anyone wants to install for me in Calgary ill gladly pay $50

No plugs are in stock and actually on their way up. I should have a bunch early next week.

May need to order more as the orders have been flying in.. I think I am selling them too cheap, lol

Does that mean tuning is harder on the engine? More wear and tear and thus shorter life? I thought tuning was supposed to optimize the engine to be more efficient and so you wouldn't need to drive it as hard (not a huge difference) to get the same power output? Better fuel consumption and more power is what most tuners claim, but I didn't know it meant changing spark plugs more often?

Or is this 15-20K period different for an E92 M3? How often does the dealer change them when the car is still under warranty?

If I tune, does it mean I should change plugs in between dealer maintenances? If so, it might make me reconsider doing the tune...

I installed the new plugs this aft, took about 40 mins hood open to close. Very easy. I put 51000km on my original plugs, recently it started to idle rough and I was throwing a misfire code on cyl 5 during high rpm pulls.

Car now runs smooth, idle is smooth an no more misfires.

I tried replacing my plugs before and it was a lot of work, I had to remove the cowl cover by the windshield to access the plugs. This is probably one job I will not do again , lol

It means the tune is pushing the maximum performance out of your engine, so even slight failures will be exacerbated, stuff that wouldn't be a big deal with the conservative stock settings.

Gotta pay to play, no harm in keeping your drivetrain in top shape
