Unhappy FAULT CODES - whats the problem?

I had this experience twice in a week. My 335i jerked and lost power as I pushed it in low gears. The I drive shows "Engine Fault. Reduced Power".

I sent my car to my usual workshop to read the error codes, and there were 3 as follows:
1) 2ABC Boost pressure sensor, electric
2) 3100 Boost pressure control, deactivation
3) 29DC Cylinder injection cutout

The guys at the workshop attributed the 3rd fault code to a possible faulty high pressure fuel pump, so I had it replaced in a hope to eliminate one factor at a time. However, I still had the same problem after the HPFP is replaced, so I believe there is another problem associated with the 1st and 2nd fault codes. I had a buddy checked if it could be caused by the waste gate actuator but it seems not.

Could the remaining problem be due to a faulty boost pressure sensor? There are 2 in our 335i but the codes do not say which of them is faulty.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

If you have a tune installed, check to see if wires 6 and 7 in the small loom are reversed.

That boost deactivation code is caused by the other code(s). It's just means that your ECU triggered a no-boost limp mode. It's the other code(s) that initiated the problem that are the ones you need to get to the bottom of.

Bump to this thread

Found those 3 bad boys:
1) 2ABC Boost pressure sensor, electric.
2) 3100 Boost pressure control, deactivation.
3) 29DC Cylinder injection cutout.

HPFP already raplaced less than 200 miles ago..
Any updates?

Do you have a JB3 Extension cable? This came up yesterday:

We didn't actually sell them to anyone, just posted a link and informed people they could test it. But the proliant extension cable is generally fail. Causes random 2ABC codes.
