JB4 at Altitude

I did some pretty extensive searching and didn't really find what I was looking for but if I missed something just point me in the right direction.

I would like to run Map 2 on my JB4 but up here in Denver (and Laramie, where I go to school) you vant find much other than 91 octane. I just have the DCI and JB4 in, was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on what to do or if its safe to run map 2 at this altitude on 91.

Why are you still running Map 2 lol...if you have the latest firmware you should be running Map 5. (Auto tune)

This will likely yield higher boost levels even on 91 (it's what I run) and will adjust accordingly to the environment.

From what I've been reading, a lot of people are getting consistently higher numbers even from map 1 than map 5.

idk about consistently.

if you want a better answer, log your runs on map2 and send to terry and see what he says.

many people do run map 2 with only dci, but they run 93 octane. IMO, i woudlnt run map 2.

id pick map 5 over map 1. Im hitting alot more boost than map 1

Yea, that's what I thought, we don't have 93 though because of the altitude. I'll give map 5 a go and see what kind of boost I'm running.

5 is a conservative choice and so is map 1, but every car is different and nobody can answer you without comparison logs to see how your car is taking the boost.

High elevation and poor fuel quality normally does not allow you to run high boost maps, so I doubt map 2 is good for your car.
