Steering wheel shaking back and forth about 1 inch at about 40mph

hey guys, sorry for another one of these questions-Ive been searching and researching for a few days.

as stated, my steering shakes back and forth about 1 inch while I am going between 30-40mph, then sometimes stops while I am at freeway speeds. I know it is not the road conditions, I have tested that.

Here are my specs:

Front wheels: CSL's 19X8.5
Front tires: 235/35/19

I have been running with 30mm spacers in the front, to accomodate my wide body fenders, but not until recent, has it became an issue. Wheels are also torqued to spec, with proper bolts.

Do you think I need an allignment, or wheel balancing?

Not sure an alignment would help. Balancing the wheel may do it, I would check for any bends in the wheels. Also, just for piece of mind, take the spacers off and drive around and see if you feel anything. If you don't, then you know its the spacers.

Also check to see if you lost a weight off those CSL's I have CSL reps and they require a ton of weights to balance.

Sounds like a bent wheel... have it balanced and checked to make sure they're straight.

Cast wheels vibrate like crazy once they are bent. They are soft and heavy, not a good combo.
