Muffler delete

Has anybody done a muffler delete to a 328i? I had stopped by a shop to see what kind of mufflers they had, and he suggested I do a muffler delete. He said "that is the only way you will get any sound from this car".. IDK if it will be too loud or even worth it. What do you guys think? I have a 2009 e90 328i LCI

It won't be crazy loud but you will be able to live with it. A non-car enthusiast shouldn't complain at all.

You can always re-weld it back on.

anyone else tried this? What do you think? What other nice exhausts are there that wont make the car too loud but will give it a nice sound? I am looking for something preferably a little more louder than the 335.

Looks like the BMW Performance Exhaust will be a perfect match for you.
I'm very happy with mine.

Muffler delete on a 328 sounds horrible my brother did it to his 325 after I did my 335 and it sounded so bad we had to weld the muffler back on, it works so well on the 335 because the turbos act as somewhat of a muffler(s).

Dammit. All the comments I had read up to now and from what others had told me it sounds great, i was afraid of that one person telling me its not good to get me back into doubting. i can probably find someone in the Los Angeles area that has muffler delete so i can hear what theirs sounds like.

Perf Exhaust sounds the best for 328's. Also costs the most.

Rogue muffler sounds good. Half the price of a PE.

muffler delete sounds okay. Half the price of the Rogue (including cost of new tips)
