water pump failure because JB4?

Wanting to take my car in because I keep getting low coolant warning (when coolant is not low). Assuming it is water pump failure. I want to unplug my JB4, but I will get a code for my downpipes. So, I'm thinking about just leaving it in there.... Will they accuse my JB4 for this problem? The problem of my coolant being low, which could be water pump failure....
If JB4 could affect it, then I will have to find something else....

EDIT: What about the CAN-Tool guys? Will this be ideal for my situation!?

I would think it would be a good reason to try and void the warantee, more boost/power=more heat and therefore more stress on the water pump.

Thank you for the input... If it has any link to it, then I need an alternative. Would putting it on map zero really hide it? I think they would still be able to locate it even though it is on map zero.... They would probably be able to still blame it if I left it on map zero, something should still pop up for them I'm guessing

Thanks. It means a lot for someone like you. I was hoping I would get an answer from you or the SA. If it has any link to it, then I need an alternative. Would putting it on map zero really hide it? If you had max cool mode enabled then it possibly could shorten the life of the pump. Mine went at 54k (miles), but there were three others at my indy with similar mileage and dead pumps that did not have tunes.
You can put it in map 0 and unless they go into the ECU housing they will not see it. My indy guy had no idea I had a tune until after I picked the car up and told him...then he wanted a ride.
I've also had it into BMW on more than one occasion with the JB on 0 and they said nothing, but this was for routine maintenance and a clutch replace under warranty.

Hmm... well, I've talked to them ahead of time and they said it was okay to have mods. They don't care as long as it doesn't cause problems... My car only has 13k miles. I don't ride with the AC on max or anything. 50% of the time windows are rolled down. I'm not taking out the downpipe or anything, so I guess I will talk to them and see...

I don't think that they would say something about the DP's!

But the JB...

I wouldn't risk it, but i'm not you...

Remove all mods for something like this unless you are on good terms with your technician. It's going to be tough because of the DP having to remove and reinstall. The JB4 should be a quick and easy removal.

If you are not on good terms do not take the chance. Even if they see the tune this time and they look the other way doesn't mean they will do that next time, if say your turbos or something more costly goes bad that is directly related to the tune they may blame it on the tune.

The JB4 may have caused it. Of course it will cause more heat, as you are boosting the turbos harder. In turn, the water pump will work harder to keep the car cool. It may have caused the failure...

I know this doesnt really answer your question, but i have an SA who is cool with mods, but when I was getting ready to have my car towed to the dealership to replace the water pump, he specifically told me to REMOVE the JB4.

that's good to hear. This actually helps... My SA is probably the same. I guess I will have to CAN tool it, then bring it in.....

Not at all. The pumps are just junk. The water pump on my X5 died at 54k miles. Now if you are running max cool all the time, then maybe.

Wait. I don't claim to know everything about cars, but what does the AC have to do with the radiator water pump?

Max cool is a setting within the JB4 to run the radiator fan and water pump at max speed. nothing to do with the AC.

Dealers ships usually don't mine bolt on's, but take the 15-20 minutes to uninstall the tune. I have noticed the dealers ships tinkering with my ecu housing unit before.
