Good info on this great product, we really love the AMS FMIC!

Very interesting info for me as I'm driving the VK unit (1st batch like yours). Do you gain any power with the AMS by the 1st or 2nd run compared to the VK? I assume that the outside-temp difference of 15 fah wouldn't make any difference as long as the FMIC has not started to heatsoak (what is maybe the case after 6 pulls).

Do you have to take off the front bumper for the install? I was hoping to install it without having to take that step!

They SAY you can do it without removing the front bumper, but I honestly don't know how. I personally couldn't have done the trimming with the bumper on. Then again, I can't stand doing anything half-assed, so I couldn't just do a hack job on the trimming.

What'd you use to log the comparisons (first graph)?

We installed my AMS fmic with the bumper on no problem. No hack job on the trimming either!

I logged with the PROcede and graphed it in Excel.

I was a little wary at first, but it mounts solid. I think the performance is good, but the Helix unit looks to perform even better. The only downsides to the Helix are that it blocks the radiator (which I did not want to do) and it's heavier (so using those same two screws becomes more of a concern).

I installed mine today with the front bumper on! It mounted solid, a bit tedious with the cutting especially since my dremmel went out with about 3 inches left to cut!!! It took me about 3 hours to do everything since I am very meticulous. In the end, it mounted up perfect, looks perfectly straight from the front, and definitely added some increased throttle response. I did 3 hard pulls to 80 and it feels good! Not mind blowing, but the DP's I'm getting installed will help there!
