Will a 275 tire rub on an i coupe?

I have a 335i coupe. I was looking at buying a set of m3 reps that are 35 offset all around with 275/30R19 Sumitomo HTR Z III tires.

Does anyone have an experience of whether this is going to rub or not. I don't like the idea of rolling fenders. My car has the stock sport suspension.

M6 reps with +33 offset and 275 General, i rubbed in the rear with stock sport package... had to get fenders rolled. Hope this helps u out.

Does +35 offset mean it sits in farther, or out farther. I don't understand offsets very well.

Also, was it bad rubbing?

what is the rim size at the rear?
i dun think u will be rubbing with 35 offset....with standard sport suspension

35 offset sit in farther
33 offset sit out farther

They are 19 x 9.5.

it wasn't rubbing too bad, but over time, it will def chew up the tires and mess up the paint on the inside of the fender.

I believe 275's in the back will rub unless you get your fenders rolled. I think even if you rolled the fenders, if you have 2 large individuals in the rear, it will still rub.

I know a sponsor is selling the wheels with the 275s on the back, but do not mention rubbing. I also read that the Sumitomo is a slightly thinner tire.

I don't really want to mess with rolling, but do really want the wheels.

hmm well rolling isn't quite as tough a task as one may think... perhaps an hour max to roll both rear fenders... and you can get the tool to roll the fenders quite cheaply...

But bottom line, if worst comes to worse, get the rims and just put on some 265's and sell the 275s?

Yea, I guess that could be done. I am afraid of cracking the paint with rolling. I am just trying to save money by going used. I don't want to end up more money in than buying new.

It also looks like they don't make these tires in 265 in 19s, just 255 and 275. At least they don't have them on Tirerack.

Get your fenders rolled and you'll be ok with the 275s.

I will add that I rarely have more than one passenger in the car. If I would I wouldn't be flooring it.

I was very skeptical before going with my latest setup.
I'm on 10" wide rears with 275s (general tire) and 37 offset.

I now have the car pretty much slammed and I don't have any rubbing at all, even with three or four passengers.

I got them from Zoeb at wheeldude. He advised rolling for the 275s or putting 265s on the 10" wheel with no rubbing or rolling.

I wanted no issues with rubbing since my last setup was absolutely driving me nuts so I rolled them before I ever installed them.

I'll attach a couple photos for you to see the ride height in the rear.

I believe the right tire shop, or suspension guy can make any REALISTIC setup work without crazy amounts of camber and such.

By the way, with the amount of camber i have, i feel your 35 offset (2 mm more aggressive than my 37) would work on my car. I say that because I can see a little more room for those 2 additional mm on my setup.

i'm running et30 9.5" wide rears w/ General 275's out back lowered on KW V2.....fenders are rolled, never had one rub. Car is pretty low.

Are Kumho Spt's wider than generals exclaim uhps. I am getting 19X10 (38 offset i think) with 275/30/19 in the rear (Kumho SPT). Wondering if it will rub?

Does anyone happen to know the stock wheel sizes (F/R) and what the maximum tire sizes are that will fit and E90 sedan with sport package/wheels?

My rear tires are about done and i am going to go away from the stock run-flats and was hoping to do something with a bit more grip. 245/F and 275/R perhaps.

Any input?
