Looking at doing ST coilovers and want to replace any bits of rubber that supports the struts since they have 65k on them.

Looking at replacing:
-Front strut mount xi (31336775097)
-Rear strut mounts 1 (33526768544)
-Rear strut mounts 2 (33506771738)
-Rear upper mounts (33506771737)
-Rear shock sealing grommets (33506767010)

I didn't think the supporting cup was necessary considering it's metal. Wanted to check, am I missing something or do I have something I don't really need?

Not sure what your coilers come with, but I would replace rear lower spring pad as well.

Oem front strut mounts are costly, would monroe/lemforder/febi be acceptable?

Ill be putting on ST this weekend as well.

I used lemforder when I replaced my shocks and so far so good. Read somewhere they are OEM, but without the BMW mark up.

Depending on wear, you may want to consider sway end links and give all control arms,ball joints and bushing a good look..
