Rear brake pad and rotor
Do you replace rear rotor every time you replace the pad? I heard the rear rotor only need to replace every other time your replace the brake pad. Please share your experience. Thanks,

No, I don't .
You just have to check if the rotor is damaged every time you replace the pads, because if the pads were seriously bad, they might end up by damaging the rotor by metal to metal friction ( you will hear a noise while braking ). |

the rotor has the minimum standard for thickness stamped on it.
get calipers and measure what is left, then decide. obviously if warped or gouged, replace. some people do get two sets of pads out of each rotor. |

I don't do it unless the rotors are warped or time for replacement. The way you can tell if they need replacement is to feel the outside edge of the rotor. Rule of thumb I use is, if you feel a lip on the edge, it's time to replace.
