DIY: Replace Kidney Grilles - LCI E92 Coupe

This is a brand new picture tutorial to show absolute beginners how to replace the kidney grilles on a 2011 BMW E92 Coupe.

Its simplicity is the key to success and the job can be done in less than 15 minutes.

It is compiled in PDF format so you can download and save to your PC or favourite portable device.

Cheers..

Thanks, but I just stick my fingers between the slats, push up on the tabs and pull the grill out with my other hand. No need to pull out the bumper cover.

Nice presentation BTW.

That only works on E90s - the slates are too narrow on the E92 so you have to reach in behind it.

Thanks for the feedback - can you share with us which 2011 BMW you did this method on?

It doesn't work for the 2011 LCI E92, that this DIY is for.

Cheers

Just put on my polished grills tonight. Thanks for the DYI. Very helpful. Took me a total of 10min after I figure out the tabs on the grills

I used a combination of "fingers through the slats" and accessing from the back on my E90 (2011) and it was an easy job. 10 mins tops, and I could probably do it in 5 next time.

Thanks for the advice - you saved me a bunch of work.

I had trouble opening your file on my mac, had to use Pdf Writer to see the text in your boxes.

I have converted it and made it mac compatible, I hope this helps someone

br0.. there is nothing wrong with the file - you just have to have a resonably new version of a PDF program... FoxitPDF is best.. or Adobe... or as you used PDF Writer... the file is fine.
