My Car Got Keyed!!

OK...so lucky for me, those bastards jsut keyed my gas tank lid...just a big "X" on it...

Is there anything i can put on it? And i its kind of deep...when I run my fingers on it i can feel a slight groove.

I called BMW and they said that it would be around 250...kind of pricey i think. Is there anyting out there cheaper than that so i can repair it myself?

The tank fill in flap costs less than 30$ and it's basically clip in part so you can easily install it yourself. Painting can not be over 200$!
