angel eye leds for development
Hello E90post members,
i am sure everyone already knows that the outer ring will be dimmer than the inner ring for all E92's, this is due to the BMW design, not any led product however............... we finally found a fix!! we can make three types of angel eyes with different outer ring brightness levels. 1) uniformed outer and inner rings. 2) brighter outer ring, dimmer inner ring 3) or much brighter inner ring and dimmer outer ring and possibly running angel eyes as DRL's only for the next project. we can change the way the LED beam enters via the BMW aperture, therefore having different levels of brightness. very interested in this as e82s have the same style as e92 internally.

great news but when using lux/mtec the angel eyes look bright when standing 15ft away from the front of car, so you mean equal brightness even when standing right next to the lights??
Thanks.. |

The E90/91 LCI w/ xenon and E92/93 Pre-LCI use a reflector to pipe light to the outer ring, and stray light is put foward to the inner ring-- (note how little light gets reflected to the outer ring, and how much just simple passes foward--explains why the light goes out) I'm VERY curious about how E92-Lighting's "revolutionary" product will bypass this inherent engineering flaw while still remaining plug-and-play. Put me in the "skeptical until pics of product" camp |

The E90 LCI tries to rectify some of the light unevenness by mounting a mirror to the back of the cornering light reflector (to point a little more light to the outer ring pickup). It works a little bit better than the E92 Pre-LCI's setup, but it still has major problems with evenness unfortunately. |
